Picture perfect quiche:

We ordered Thanksgiving takeout from the restaurant and in the box of food there was a brochure of beautiful quiches.

To achieve the layered appearance, I think they melt cheese in the bottom of the pie crust, then add and bake the spinach/egg mixture, and then top with bacon & cheese (or veggies & cheese, or ham & cheese) and return it to the oven to melt the cheese.

I'm thinking I'll try this the next time I make my favorite quiche recipe.
